Before I started working with JJ, I had been working in the gym for about a year, basically doing the same workout each week with very little results.

My first consultation was great, I explained to him what my goals and expectations were in training, considering my age and fitness levels.

At that time, JJ spent over an hour with me explaining all aspects of fitness and nutrition. He explained about challenging yourself a little further and what the benefits were of regular committed training.

At our next meeting, JJ had made a program for me to suit my needs and fitness level, he explained it thoroughly and went through all the exercises with me in depth.

Several weeks later I am enjoying my new challenge, I have lost inches where I never thought I could, my energy levels have risen and I am sleeping better that I have in years. JJ still monitors my progress on a regular basis, is a great motivator and always has time for any questions or concerns.

I would recommend Jonathan as an excellent personal trainer; he is extremely keen, personable and well qualified and ,above all, an excellent motivator. Training sessions are always varied and interesting, yet tailored to needs and age!

Having tried other exercise classes and found that they exacerbated a knee condition I developed in the last few years, I find I can trust Jonathan implicitly to design programmes which do not aggravate this condition. Since August last year he has helped me to become fitter and work on my core strength. I have found this invaluable for playing tennis, which I particularly enjoy.

I had been feeling low for a while. I knew I was eating too much junk food, but I found it very hard to stop. I always said I’d just stop doing it, but nothing made me until I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror during a business trip. It absolutely freaked me out and I told my family this. My brother Ross told me that one of his good friends, Jonathan Popple, had his own personal training business and that I should give him a call.


I’d always wanted to go to the gym, but I can be lazy. I knew if I had someone to push me there would be more chance of improving my fitness than if I went solo. It was definitely the right choice. I am now loving exercise and eating healthily. I try to do things during the day in ways that will push me a little bit more (like walking down the road to town instead of driving) and I pay far more attention to the kinds of food I pick up. I look forward to each session and the fitter I have become, the more I enjoy it. Jonathan has been a fantastic motivator, and he has varied all the training to keep it enjoyable.


In total, I’ve lost over four stone in weight and it’s made me feel great! My percentage body fat has decreased dramatically, and I have improved my muscle strength and tone.  I now have much more energy for every day activities.

Ryan has been fully committed from the start. He has done exactly what he has been advised, and has given every training session 100%. Ryans fitness levels have improved enormously, and his strength has improved greatly, for example he was only able to complete 4 press ups when we first met, and now he can do 20.
